a cougar trumps a husky

BYU was playing the University of Washington in football last month and thanks to Jason and Colin, Tyler was able to score some tickets. Now I'm not going to lie, from the get-go I said that I did NOT want to go to the game. After all, I am not the biggest football fan on earth. I was perfectly fine with Tyler enjoying his day at the game with the guys while I enjoyed shopping with my sister who was visiting from Utah. But we ended up with an extra ticket so I took it, and surprisingly, I had a good time. I mean who wouldn't have a good time with the ultimate BYU cougar fan......my husband!

The day started out a bit overcast and humid but by midday the sun came out, and it was so bright.

The mascot.....I don't even know his name!

The game was super close and when everyone was praying for a win I was praying the game wouldn't go into overtime. But the Cougars pulled through in the end winning by one point.

When the game ended, all the players rushed the field, and I think I saw a tear trickling down my husband's cheek.

And the night ended with my sister and I doing some major damage shopping downtown. I love it when my sister comes to visit because she brings out a side of me that I think gets a little hidden living here in Seattle. I always want to wear a little more makeup and wear my trendiest clothes and heels, because after all, she is the ultimate girly girl.

So, thanks to Jason, Colin, Shana, and Triplet Daddy for the wonderful weekend. It is always nice to visit old/new friends and family. I guess I should be thankful because BYU sure as a way of bringing everyone together!

Go All The Way

The Cubs have clinched the Central and are poised to roll deep into the playoffs (as long as none of their arms explode). Chicago native (kind of) and Cubbies fan Eddie Vedder has penned a new song honoring the team and their quest to win the World Series. Please enjoy and cheer for the Cubs this October.
