Happy B-Day DSOTM

One of my all-time favorite albums turns 36 today. I just gave it a celebratory listen and it still sounds as incredible as it did the first time I heard it more than 15 years ago. After all these years it remains one of the boldest conceptual and flawlessly executed records in rock history.

Today was a good day for many reasons......

1. It was officially my last day of class and now I only need to take boards to receive my LPN!

2. I had lunch with Tyler at Taco Time (I forgot how delicious the crisp bean burrito was).

3. I got a phone call from one of my best friends from high school saying she is pregnant. She is the first and I am very excited for her.

4. After clinicals today, I crashed on the couch and napped for over two hours.

I am feeling refreshed.

my sister and her plus one

Every year my sister comes to visit me for her birthday, but this year I convinced her to bring this cute face...



My sister said little plus one is most excited about seeing our tiny apartment and she thinks it's funny that our washer/dryer is in our bathroom. She tells everyone that she is going to Seattle to visit her Aunt Stace. Well, at least I know she won't be disappointed by our apartment because it sure is tiny. Oh...gotta love her!

This was on the cover of Seattle Metropolitan Magazine and when I saw it I told Tyler we had to go there. We went with our friends Ben and Mandy, and although the company was good, the ice cream sandwiches were just so-so. The cookies and ice cream were frozen into one solid brick so it was a bit difficult to eat; but don't take my word for it, go see for yourself.
